Twins Fall to Bombers

Bryan/College Station, TX – July 26, 2018 – The Twins did not have many things go their way tonight as they fell to the Bombers 12-1 in front of the Bombers home crowd. The team struggled all night long and did not have success at the plate in tonight’s game.

 

The Twins fell behind early, with the Bombers scoring 8 runs in the first three innings. The Twins finally got on the board in the 4th when Hunter Southerland ripped a double with an RBI scoring Cam Hill. The Twins were silent for the remainder of the game. The Bombers scored 4 more runs between the 5th and 6th innings making the score 12-1. The Twins and Bombers were silent at the plate for the last few innings making this the final score

 
Twins starting pitcher Gage Burns, struggled giving up 2 hits, 7 runs, and 5 walks. The Twins bullpen took over early after 2 complete innings with not much relief. On the night, the Twins pitchers gave up 8 hits, 12 runs and 9 walks. Dylan Ditzenberger had the most success on the mound in the last two innings only giving up 1 hit, no runs or walks with 2 strikeouts.

 

The Twins return to Travis Field tomorrow to finish their two-game series against the Bombers. The club will then take a two-day break before hosting the Texas Marshals for a two-game series at George Dobson Field. Tickets for these games are available online at texarkanatwins.com.
