Texarkana, USA – January 22, 2018 – The Texarkana Twins are excited to announce that for the Summer 2018 Season both our Head Coach Jake Mitzner and Assistant Coach Nolan Fanning will be returning! Both coaches were apart of the team's inaugural season and are excited to be returning for their second year with the Twins. Coach Mitzner and Coach Fanning together have extensive baseball backgrounds as well as a history with the Texarkana Twins.

Our returning Head Coach for the Summer 2018 Season is Jake Mitzner. Mitzner began his baseball career as a student manager for Murray State Aggies, and has since been Head Coach of the Santa Fe Fuego and last year Head Coach for the Texarkana Twins. Mitzner currently serves as a Graduate Assistant at East Central Oklahoma where he is the pitching coach as well as recruiting coordinator. Coach Mitzner said, “I am looking forward to what this season has to offer and the plan is to make it to the TCL Playoffs again!”

Nolan Fanning, will be returning as the assistant coach for the Twins for a second year. Fanning is currently a graduate assistant at East Central Oklahoma; his extensive baseball career includes NJCAA All American in his sophomore season as well as reaching the NJCAA World Series in his freshman season.
