Twins fall to Cane Cutters in the first game of homestandTexarkana, USA – July 29, 2019 – The Twins fall to the Acadiana Cane Cutters in the first game of the four game homestand. Tonight the Twins were struggling to get the bats going tonight. The game started off very well for the Twins as Shea Gutierrez started the game off with a triple and was brought in one batter later by Ryne Randle on a single. Things looked good for the Twins on the mound with left hander, Zach Goree tearing up the Cane Cutters. Goree pitched 6 innings with 0 earned runs, 8 strikeouts, but 2 unearned runs. After Goree came out it got rough for the Twins. With the Twins lacking a depth in pitching, the Twins had to have Reese Durand, and Hudson Hopkins pitch starting in the 7th. The Cane Cutters were able to capitalize and got out to a 9-1 lead. A bright spot for the Twins was newcomer, Jake Manetta, went 2-2 on the night. The Twins are home once again this Tuesday, July 30 for Faith and Family night! It will also be Like a Boss night as the Twins want to recognize the leaders of the companies of Texarkana For more information about tickets to those games and more visit texarkanatwins.com or call 903-294-PLAY. ### |
