Twins fall to the Bombers on Bark in the Park nightTexarkana, USA – June 22, 2019 – The Texarkana Twins fall to the Brazos Valley Bombers on Bark in the Park at night. Twins were glad to see dogs of all shapes and sizes come to the game to support. The score was 4-3 as the Twins were unable to battle back and beat the Bombers. The Twins celebrate Bark in the Park night. If someone brought a dog to the ballpark they got half priced tickets to the game. Twins want to celebrate dogs owners and the local adoption agencies around the Texarkana area. A rough start to the game for the Twins tonight. Giving up a run in the second inning put the Twins down early 1-0. In the third inning, with Steven Bonuz on third and Blake Shannon on second Tom Litchy came up to bat. Litchy then a single right up the middle to score both runners and put the Twins up 2-1. After a 2 run bomb by Chase Kemp, that put the Bombers up 4-2. The Twins were able to get one back in the bottom of the 6th inning after a Lee Thomas RBI. Michael McElmeel came to the mound in the 6th inning and, keeps the Bombers scoreless for the rest of the night. McElmeel had 5 strikeouts on the night, with no walks, and only allowing 4 hits. Even with McElmeel pitching so well the Twins were unable to score any more runs and ultimately fall to the Bombers 4-3. Twins play the Bombers again here at George Dobson Field here at 7:05. Tomorrow night’s game is College Night as the Twins want to recognize the local colleges in the area. The last game of the homestand before they head to Victoria, Texas to take on the Generals.
