Twins suffer first loss of the season to Generals

Texarkana, USA – May 30, 2019 – Twins lose to the reigning champions the Victoria Generals tonight 10-6 making it the first loss of the season for the Twins. Their record now is 2-1 as they look to avoid the series sweep tomorrow night.

For the second straight game the Twins jumped out to a quick lead over their opponents. Tonight it was a 4-0 lead for the Twins after the top of the first. The Generals answered back with two in the bottom of the first. Scoring continued for both teams through the first three innings. The end of the third inning the score was Twins five and the Generals four. Generals third baseman Johnson hit a 2 run homerun to bring the score to 4-5.

The Generals took the lead for the first time in the bottom of the sixth inning going up 6-5. Then in the top of the seventh inning Lee Thomas hit a double to tie the game up. After that the Generals never looked back. The General’s stole home to put the Generals up one and their lead grew till it was 10-6 at the end of eight.
