Texarkana Twins Bring in Strong Starting Pitcher and Reliever

Texarkana, USA – May 20, 2019 – The Texarkana Twins have two pitchers signed for the 2019 season in reliever from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Ross Baer and starter from Texas A&M Kingsville Matt Sesler.

Ross Baer, who is from Spring, TX, is a sophomore at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Is a 6-1 190, right-handed pitcher that had a successful sophomore campaign. Ross will be used as a reliever for the Twins during the 2019 season. Baer had 43 strikeouts in 41.1 innings pitched. While at Northland Christian School Baer was named to the All-District team two times.

Matt Sesler from Harlingen TX, who is a freshman at Texas A&M Kingsville. During his freshman year, he had a 3.07 era, had over one strikeout per inning, strikeouts per nine innings is 10.14. Sesler was named to the first team All-district Team in baseball and basketball at Harlingen Highschool. Sesler will be a starter during the 2019 campaign.

Sesler and Baer should be big for us as pitchers this year. Bringing some depth to our pitching core, and a strong reliever to bring to close out games.

Come support your Texarkana Twins and join our boys when the season starts on May 29 when the Twins host the Baton Rouge Rougarou at 7:05 p.m. at George Dobson Field.
